Terms Of Use

Last Updated: 09/01/2026

Coverland ("Coverland," "we," "us," or "our") provides the website at coverland.com, together with all related content, features, and functionality (the "Site"), subject to these Terms of Use (the "Terms").

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. BY VISITING, BROWSING, SHOPPING ON, OR OTHERWISE USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

Section 22 (Governing Law, Venue, and Time Limit on Claims) contains a provision that shortens the time you have to bring a claim against Coverland to one year. Please read it carefully.

Scope

These Terms apply to coverland.com. The following are governed by separate or additional terms:

  • wholesale.coverland.com — our B2B wholesale portal.
  • account.coverland.com — customer account portal. Use of the account portal is governed by these Terms unless separate terms are posted there.
  • Ambassador Terms (coverland.com/policies/ambassador-terms): Govern participation in our ambassador and creator programs.
  • coverland.ca — our Canadian storefront. It operates under its own terms of use and its own shipping, return, and warranty policies. These Terms do not apply to purchases made on coverland.ca.
  • Third-party marketplaces such as Amazon: Sales made there are also subject to that marketplace's own terms and policies.

Policies incorporated by reference

The following policies are part of these Terms, and you agree to them when you use the Site or place an order:

Where one of those policies specifically addresses a subject (returns, warranty coverage, shipping, or privacy), that policy controls for its subject matter and these Terms fill in around it.

1. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or place an order. By using the Site, you represent that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not use the Site.

2. Acceptable Use

When you access or use the Site, you agree that you will not:

  1. Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  2. Submit false, inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date information, impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  3. Infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property or other rights of Coverland or any third party.
  4. Engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone else's use of the Site, or that harms Coverland or other users.
  5. Disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Site.
  6. Use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, or other automated means to access, copy, monitor, or harvest content or data from the Site, except as permitted by our published robots.txt or with our prior written consent.
  7. Introduce any virus, trojan horse, worm, logic bomb, or other malicious or technologically harmful material.
  8. Attempt to circumvent, disable, or defeat any security or access-control feature of the Site.
  9. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt the Site, its servers, or any connected network.
  10. Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate Coverland employees, agents, customers, or any third party, including through our live chat, phone, or email support channels.
  11. Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, resell, or create derivative works from the Site or its content for any commercial purpose, or to build a competing product or business.
  12. Use the Site in any manner we consider inappropriate, unauthorized, or contrary to its intended purpose.

3. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated Terms to the Site, and we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the revised Terms. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders already placed. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

4. Electronic Communications

You consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email, SMS where you have opted in, and notices posted on the Site, to the extent permitted by law. You agree that agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing. This consent covers transactional communications about your orders. Marketing communications are separate, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to marketing texts, or by contacting support@coverland.com. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Accounts

Some features — including saved vehicles, order history, and account management at account.coverland.com — require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account, whether or not you authorized it. Notify us immediately at support@coverland.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including where information is inaccurate or these Terms are violated.

6. Ownership of the Site and Content

The Site and all of its content — text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, product designs, software, page layout, and the selection and arrangement of all of the above (the "Content") — are owned by Coverland or its licensors and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, trade dress, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 7, we reserve all rights. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

This includes the COVERLAND name; the COVERLAND wordmark and stylized logo, including the red-stripe "E" and the fabric-swoosh icon; and our brand marks and slogans, including "Protection Built to Last," "Tailored. Tested. Trusted.," and "Why Coverland?" — whether registered or unregistered.

7. Limited Use License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site and Content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and to place orders, in accordance with these Terms. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

8. Products, Custom Fit, and Descriptions

We sell custom-fit automotive protection products: car covers, seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel covers. Fitment is selected by Year, Make, Model, and seat or interior configuration — not by VIN.

  • Reference imagery. Many product images on the Site are reference or representative images and may not depict your exact vehicle, color, or configuration. Custom-fit imagery is illustrative. The product you receive is made to fit the vehicle details you select at checkout.
  • Color accuracy. We work to display colors accurately, but what you see depends on your device and display settings, and we cannot guarantee an exact match to the physical product.
  • Specifications and availability. Features, specifications, availability, and prices may change at any time without notice. Listing a product does not guarantee it will be available. Measurements and similar descriptions are approximate.
  • Fit support. If a product does not fit, contact our support team. We will help verify fitment using the part-number tag on the product (F- denotes front seat covers, B- denotes rear, with color suffixes) and process an exchange or return under our Return Policy.
  • Product care. Follow the care instructions provided with your product. Certain products, including car covers, are rinse-clean and must not be machine washed. Damage from improper care is not covered by our warranty.

9. Orders, Pricing, and Acceptance

  1. Prices. Prices are subject to change without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any price change, modification, suspension, or discontinuance of a product.
  2. Pricing and description errors. If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with an incorrect description, we may refuse or cancel any order placed on that listing, even after order confirmation and even if your payment method has been charged. If we cancel an order that was already charged, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
  3. Order acceptance. Your order is an offer to buy. An order confirmation is an acknowledgment of receipt, not acceptance. We may accept, decline, or limit any order for any lawful reason — including suspected fraud, suspected reseller activity, or quantity limits — and will generally attempt to notify you using the contact information you provided.
  4. Quantity and eligibility limits. We may limit quantities per person, household, or order, and may limit or refuse orders we believe are placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors. Wholesale purchasing is available separately at wholesale.coverland.com.
  5. Taxes. Prices exclude applicable sales, use, and similar taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination.

10. Product Availability and Shipping Timeframes

Every product on the Site is in one of two availability states when you order it, and that state is disclosed to you before you complete your purchase.

10.1 In-Stock Items

Most items are in stock and ship from our California warehouse under the standard processing and delivery timeframes described in our Shipping Policy.

10.2 Pre-Order Items

Some items can be purchased before they arrive in our warehouse. These are identified as pre-orders on the product page, and the following applies:

  • You see the date before you buy. An estimated arrival window and estimated date are shown on the product page, again at checkout before you complete your purchase, and again on your order confirmation and receipt. Pre-order windows currently extend up to approximately 16 weeks depending on the item.
  • The date on your order confirmation governs. The estimated shipping or arrival date shown on your order confirmation is the shipping timeframe that applies to your order. It controls over any general or typical timeframe stated elsewhere on the Site.
  • Estimates are good-faith projections, not guarantees. Pre-order dates are based on inbound supply schedules and may change due to manufacturing, supply, customs, or carrier conditions. If the date changes materially, Section 10.3 applies.
  • Charging. Your payment method is charged when you place a pre-order.
  • Cancel any time before it ships. You may cancel an unshipped pre-order at any time for a full refund by contacting support@coverland.com or 1-800-799-5165.
  • Gift cards. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase pre-order items. See Section 11.
  • Returns and warranty. Pre-orders carry the same Return Policy and Warranty Policy as in-stock orders. The 30-day return window runs from delivery, not from the date you ordered.

10.3 If We Cannot Ship Within the Estimated Timeframe

This applies to in-stock and pre-order items alike. Occasionally an order is delayed beyond the timeframe shown at purchase — for example, by a warehouse, inventory, or supply issue.

If we cannot ship within the timeframe stated at the time of your order, or within 30 days if no timeframe was stated, we will notify you, provide a revised estimated date, and give you the choice to consent to the delay or cancel your order for a prompt full refund. If we cannot provide a revised date, we will cancel and refund your order. If an item becomes unavailable altogether, we will notify you and refund you in full.

You may also contact us at any time before an order ships to check its status or cancel it.

11. Gift Cards

Coverland gift cards are subject to the following:

  • Gift cards are redeemable toward eligible purchases on coverland.com.
  • Gift cards do not expire and carry no dormancy, inactivity, or service fees.
  • Gift cards cannot be used for pre-order or backorder purchases, cannot be used with deferred-payment or installment financing, and cannot be redeemed for cash or converted to store credit, except where required by law.
  • Gift cards are not reloadable and are not refundable.
  • Treat a gift card like cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards or for unauthorized use.
  • If a gift card is used on an order that is later returned, the refund is issued back to the gift card balance.
  • Small remaining balances — California residents. If you are a California resident and your Coverland gift card has a remaining balance of less than ten dollars ($10.00), you may request that we redeem that balance in cash, as provided by California Civil Code § 1749.5(b)(2). To request redemption, contact support@coverland.com or call 1-800-799-5165 with your gift card number. We will issue the remaining balance in cash or, at our option and with your agreement, as a refund to your original payment method.
  • All other states. Except as set out above for California residents, and except where the law of your state of residence requires cash redemption, gift card balances are not redeemable for cash, and any remaining balance stays on the gift card for use toward future eligible purchases. Where the law of another state grants a cash-redemption right at a different balance threshold, we will honor that state's requirement for residents of that state.

12. Payments

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for every order. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and the installment and financing options we make available, including Klarna and Affirm. Note:

  • We do not support split-tender payments across multiple payment methods on a single order.
  • Installment and financing options may not be available on all purchase types and are provided by third parties, subject to that provider's terms, approval, and eligibility requirements. Your agreement with a financing provider is between you and that provider.
  • Payments are processed by third-party PCI-compliant processors. If your payment information is invalid or declined, we are not responsible for the resulting delay or cancellation.
  • By submitting an order, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

13. Promotions, Discounts, and Free Shipping Offers

From time to time we make promotional offers available, including discounts, promotional codes, bundle pricing, and free or reduced shipping thresholds.

These are offers, not fixed policy. Free-shipping thresholds, discount amounts, eligible products, and promotional terms are set by us, may be tested, personalized, or varied across customers, sessions, regions, or channels, and may be introduced, changed, or withdrawn at any time without notice. The terms that apply to your order are the terms displayed to you at checkout at the time you place that order. Nothing displayed elsewhere on the Site, in advertising, in email or SMS, or on third-party platforms creates an entitlement to any offer that is not shown in your cart at checkout.

Additional terms:

  • Unless expressly stated, promotional codes cannot be combined with each other or with other offers.
  • Offers may exclude certain products or order types, including pre-orders, gift cards, and clearance items.
  • Some discounts apply automatically at checkout; others must be entered manually. We are not responsible for a code you did not apply before completing your order.
  • Free-shipping and other shipping offers apply only to the destinations stated in our Shipping Policy and generally exclude Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and APO/FPO addresses.
  • Individual promotions, sweepstakes, and contests may carry their own additional rules, which control where they conflict with this section.
  • We may cancel or refuse orders where a promotion has been misused, including through code sharing, bulk or automated ordering, or repeated returns of promotional purchases.

14. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss

We arrange shipment using a carrier of our choice, typically FedEx or UPS, and in some cases USPS. Shipping destinations, processing times, and current shipping offers are governed by our Shipping Policy.

  • Delivery estimates are estimates. Ship dates and delivery windows are not guaranteed, and we are not liable for carrier delays, weather, or other conditions outside our control.
  • Where we ship. Orders placed on coverland.com ship within the United States. Certain destinations, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and APO/FPO addresses, are excluded from free-shipping offers and may carry different shipping charges and return terms — see our Shipping Policy and Return Policy.
  • Canadian customers. Coverland serves Canada through coverland.ca, which operates under its own terms of use and its own shipping, return, and warranty policies. These Terms do not govern purchases made on coverland.ca.
  • Orders delivered outside the United States. If we accept an order on coverland.com for delivery outside the United States, you are the importer of record and are responsible for any duties, taxes, and customs charges, and for compliance with the import laws of the destination country.
  • Risk of loss. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery of the product to the shipping address you provided. If your order arrives damaged, is lost in transit, or the wrong item is delivered, contact us at support@coverland.com or 1-800-799-5165 and we will make it right under our Return Policy.

15. Returns, Exchanges, and Warranty

  • Returns and exchanges are governed by our Return Policy: 30-day hassle-free returns from delivery on every order, including custom-fit products, with a free prepaid return label for contiguous U.S. orders and no restocking fee, provided the return conditions in that policy are met. Those conditions — correct item, all components included, unused and resalable condition, and an appropriately sized box — are part of these Terms. Deductions described in the Return Policy, including the oversized-box shipping charge and the non-refundable original shipping fee on steering wheel covers, apply as stated there.
  • Warranties. Coverland provides a 10-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase across all four product lines — car covers, seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel covers — as described in our Warranty Policy. Each warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, and where applicable fit and attachment hardware, along with premature fading, discoloration, or cracking under normal in-vehicle use. Everyday sun exposure through your vehicle's glass counts as normal use and is covered.
  • What the warranties exclude. The warranties do not cover normal wear from everyday use, stains, spills, burns, cuts, pet damage, damage from misuse, neglect, abuse, accidents, sharp objects, or improper installation, or any alteration or modification of the product. Product-specific exclusions are stated in the Warranty Policy and control.
  • Warranty term and remedy. Coverage begins on the original date of purchase. If we replace a product under warranty, coverage continues from that original purchase date and does not reset or extend. Replacement of the product is the remedy under the warranty, and you are responsible for shipping costs on a warranty replacement.
  • Except as expressly stated in the Warranty Policy, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, all other warranties are disclaimed as described in Section 17.

16. Errors, Inaccuracies, and Site Availability

Information on the Site may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and products may be unavailable or differ from their descriptions. We make no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, or currency of any information on the Site, and we may correct errors and update information at any time without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from Site outages, delays, interruptions, or failures.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVERLAND DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE ARE COVERED BY THE COVERLAND LIMITED WARRANTY DESCRIBED IN OUR WARRANTY POLICY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES RELATING TO PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE ARE DISCLAIMED.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS ANY WARRANTY OR REMEDY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING UNDER THE SONG-BEVERLY CONSUMER WARRANTY ACT OR THE MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY ACT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL COVERLAND OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF USE, OR VEHICLE DOWNTIME, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

FOR ANY ISSUE WITH A PRODUCT PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE, YOUR REMEDIES ARE THOSE PROVIDED UNDER OUR RETURN POLICY AND WARRANTY POLICY.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, THE CONTENT, OR ANY PRODUCT PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT OR PRODUCTS GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, FOR FRAUD, OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coverland and its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, partners, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to (a) your violation of applicable law, (b) your misuse of the Site or any Content, or (c) your breach of these Terms. We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.

20. Customer Submissions

The Site does not currently accept public user-generated content such as customer reviews, photos, or comments posted directly to the Site.

If you send us photos, videos, testimonials, or other materials — for example, in support of a warranty claim, in response to a request from our team, or by tagging us on social media — you grant Coverland a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display those materials in connection with our business and marketing, in any media. You represent that you own or have all rights necessary to grant this license and that the materials do not infringe or violate anyone's rights. Where we publish customer content, we attribute it using a verified full name.

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Site or our products, we may use them for any purpose without restriction, attribution, or compensation. Please do not send unsolicited product ideas, inventions, or creative materials; any unsolicited submission will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

21. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may link to third-party websites and content, including our presence on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, third-party marketplaces, financing providers, and review platforms. We provide these links for convenience. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party sites or content. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that third party's terms and privacy policy, and is at your own risk.

22. Governing Law, Venue, and Time Limit on Claims

Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, the Site, or products purchased through the Site, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Venue. The state and federal courts located in Orange County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

Time limit on claims. You and Coverland agree to shorten the time period in which a claim may be brought. Any claim or cause of action arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any product purchased through the Site must be filed within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action accrues, or it is permanently barred. This provision is intended to shorten, and does expressly shorten, any longer statute of limitations that would otherwise apply, including the four-year period under California Code of Civil Procedure § 337 and California Commercial Code § 2725. This one-year limit does not apply to any claim for which applicable law prohibits a shortened limitations period, and it does not alter when a claim accrues or affect the operation of the discovery rule.

23. Termination

We may change, suspend, restrict, discontinue, or terminate all or part of the Site, or your access to it including your account, at any time and without prior notice. You remain responsible for orders placed and charges incurred before termination. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22 — will survive.

24. Miscellaneous

  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that or any other provision.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in effect.
  • Assignment. We may assign these Terms at any time. You may not assign them without our prior written consent.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, labor disputes, supply chain disruption, carrier failures, and government action.
  • Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference and any additional terms posted on the Site or presented at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and Coverland regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings. Where a specific posted policy, promotion term, or product warranty conflicts with these Terms, that specific document controls for its subject matter.
